THU July 18th, 7pm Dennis Kowalski Art Show

My name is Dennis Kowalski and I am an artist residing in London, Ontario.
For as far back as I can remember I have been practicing some form of visual arts. For many years I have created art works to be given as gifts and have developed some commissioned pieces.  I have spent many hours over the last six months working on my skills and further developing my portfolio in preparation for my first art show and the launch of my
Facebook page.  I am optimistic that this will help springboard me towards that next step as a practicing professional artist.

Craig Cardiff Waterloo, ON  wsg Pat Maloney   Singer-songwriter. Prone to fits of edginess and obnoxious honesty. Songs about being barefoot; being full of cancer; about pouring yourself out; being worth love; being the kite that gets caught on the power-lines; being a geek; about driving out February; songs about you. Thank you very much for your ears...

In 2012, Cardiff was nominated for a Juno Award for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year: Solo;  and for a Canadian Folk Music Award as Contemporary Singer of the Year.

...Not comfortable writing musical bios and/or resumes. Play accordion, harmonica, guitar and sing. Fairly regularly. Blessed to know so many wonderful musicians who will accompany/tolerate me. Hurled challenge at Walter Ostanek during a drunken rampage at a rare public appearance (the drunken rampage was mine and the rare public appearance his) for a polka-off, which was never recognized. I asked him to wager his Juno. Often found in living rooms and church basements.

Montreal based blues band. Old school and proud of it.

Alternately menacing and celebratory, brooding and boastful, Bharath and his Rhythm Four gaze into the past not with nostalgia, but with stunning passion. With Bharath Rajakumar as its charismatic core, the Rhythm Four create an ensemble sound that heightens “deep blues” traditionalism with punch and urgency.

Ken Yates CD RELEASE wsg Liz Longley “Want to hear a great song? (I mean a REALLY great song?)” – John Mayer, one forty plus

“Ken Yates’ music is solid as stone and clear as mountain air… he proves the future is in very good shape” – Livingston Taylor

Born and Raised in London, Ontario, Ken Yates moved to Boston to study songwriting at Berklee College of Music. It was there that he developed his skills as a songwriter, releasing his first CD, “The Backseat EP”, and received the opportunity to play a song for one of his biggest influences, John Mayer.  Mayer even posted a full page blog about Yates’ ability as a writer stating, “Ken Yates wrote a song called ‘I Don’t Wanna Fall In Love’… this song moved me when I first heard it and still does today”. Yates’ EP received high critical acclaim, leading to a slew of online covers from fans.  He has toured with many notable names including veteran singer/songwriter and mentor, Livingston Taylor, Sister Hazel, Peter Katz, and Liz Longley and has songs in heavy rotation on Sirius XM’s The Coffee House.   His debut full length album twenty-three, recorded in Holland and produced by Joren van der Voort is set for release on May 23rd.
