An Evening for ANDREW'S LEGACY

 

Come out for a night of comedy for a great cause. Performers from Shut The Front Door, Off The Hinges and Hard to Handle will be performing live!  Andrew's Legacy was created when 15 year old Andrew Stoddart passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest on the soccer field in Kintore. There was no AED (automated external defibrillator) on site, which could have saved his life. The goal of Andrew's Legacy is to have AED's mandated in ALL PUBLIC PLACES. Anywhere there is a fire extinguisher there will be an AED, in Ontario and all across Canada.

Chuck Jackson is Downchild's singer and harmonica player; the sort of openhearted, friendly guy who builds an instant rapport with audiences. He came to Downchild 27 years ago after a long career with a number of top Canadian bands. With Downchild he has been nominated for 5 Junos and in 2014 won the Juno for Blues Album of the Year for their CD Can you hear the Music. Chuck has been nominated 7 times and won the Maple Blues Award, Male Vocalist of the Year twice. In 1999 and 2007. He was also honoured in 2002 with the Toronto Blues Society's prestigious Blues With a Feeling Award for his achievements.

Singer/Songwriter and guitarist, Andy Chillman has recorded over 14 albums of multiple genres and has been performing his original music for over 25 years.
In 2009 and 2010, Andy toured western Canada with Gypsy Folk group, Too Much Unsaid. In that time, TMU had recorded two albums, played approximately 100 shows and performed festivals all over Ontario.

Don is a highly skilled jazz musician who graduated from the Humber College Jazz Guitar Program where he had the honour of receiving his diploma from the great Canadian himself, Oscar Peterson.  

Don is constantly writing and arranging original music and has collaborated with other artists in the industry. From his home studio, he helped compose and arrange original music for the film "Shark City", which was showcased in the Toronto International Film Festival.
